VEGA ACID

A slow release micro encapsulated acidifier containing a 45% combination of Citric acid, Fumaric acid, Sorbic acid, L-malic acid protected by a coating of hydrogenated vegetable oils. The protective fat matrix protects it through the gastric barrier allowing slow release of the acids in each gastrointestinal segment with the bulk being released in the large intestine where it is the most effective Combined with good palatability and excellent flowability it is an ideal acidifier for feedmill or farm use. The protective coating matrix also ensures it remains non-corrosive to feedmill and farm equipment

In trials on pigs, Vega Acid was shown to:

+          Increase daily weight gain in pigs by 8.9%

+          Increase feed conversion rate by 4.9%

+          Weaning diarrhea rate was decreased by 13.8%

In trials on poultry, Vega Acid was shown to:

+  Increase daily weight gain by 11.83% compared to 9.33 for the control group on a non-protected acidifier

+          Decrease feed/gain ratio by 8.03% compared with 3.28% for the control group on a non-protected acidifier
